Roaming free in Montana's Pryor Mountains, the unmistakable pale palomino stallion Cloud had his life documented from birth in 1995 by Emmy-winning filmmaker Ginger Kathrens. Kathrens' films about Cloud and his herd have aired on the PBS series Nature, inspiring many to learn about the plight and incredible lives of mustangs in the American west.

Born in 2013, Encore is Cloud's look-alike daughter with mare Feldspar. On her first birthday, Encore was stolen away by a group of bachelor stallions, but her luck changed when she was championed by the young roan stallion Knight. In August 2019, they welcomed their first foal - a black colt with a white star and slash of white on the tip of his nose, similar to the markings of Cloud's sire, Raven. This special colt was given the name Tor, which means a "high rocky hill" and was also one of the first Knights of King Arthur's round table.

Continuing Cloud's legacy, Encore and Tor now live wild and free in the same Pryor Mountains where their story began decades ago - a testament to the value and inspiration of America's wild mustangs.
