Peptoboonsmal - Legendary Sire
Bred by original owner Larry Hall Cutting Horses, a red roan Quarter Horse named Peptoboonsmal (Peppy San Badger x Royal Blue Boon) was born in 1992 and would forever leave his mark on the world of cutting horses. Ridden by Gary Bellenfant, Peptoboonsmal won over $180,000 in National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) competition as a 3- and 4-year-old, and was the 1995 NCHA Futurity Open Champion. While skilled in the arena, Peptoboonsmal has proven to be an even more talented sire.
Peptoboonsmal's first foal crop came of show age in 2001, and he has been a top cutting horse sire ever since, confirming that he is passing down much more than just his eye-catching color. Now owned by Aaron Ranch, Peptoboonsmal's offspring have earned over $26 million in competition as of 2019. Their overwhelming success has forever cemented Peptoboonsmal's place amongst the all-time top cutting and reined cow horse sires.
