The making of a successful racehorse is a delicate balance of breeding, training, and a touch of magic. Thoroughbred Tiz the Law (Constitution x Tizfiz), purchased for $110,000 as a yearling by Sackatoga Stable, has proven to be a remarkable athlete.

Paired with renowned trainer Barclay Tagg and jockey Manny Franco, the 2017 stallion has amassed an impressive $2.74 million in career earnings as of December 2020. Tiz the Law kicked off his career by winning his maiden race and the prestigious Champagne Stakes. His 2020 season was nothing short of remarkable, with a string of three Grade 1 victories, starting with the Florida Derby.

Next, Tiz the Law made history by winning the Belmont Stakes, becoming the first New York-bred horse to do so since 1882. In August, he found further success at the Travers Stakes, winning by an incredible 5 ½ lengths. His three-year-old season concluded with a second-place finish in the Kentucky Derby and a sixth-place finish in the Breeders' Cup.

Upon veterinary advice, Tiz the Law's racing career came to an end in December 2020, and he arrived at Ashford Stud in Kentucky on January 1, 2021, to begin his new life as a breeding stallion.
